Hey there!

I think I should have probably mentioned this before, but I have been a touch distracted the past few weeks. Little ol’ me has been nominated for the 2012 Black Weblog Awards in both the Travel and Food categories. I can tell you now that I probably won’t win. It’s not me being negative (I know you’re thinking: “Terri, come on now!”), but many of the blogs nominated have much bigger fan bases than mine. I know many of the other bloggers (especially in the travel category), and I urge you to check out their blogs for more wonderful travel goodness. They are great bloggers writing about great things. Everything is based on votes, so if you could cast one (or two) for me, I’d be very honored.

Voting for the semi-finals ends on Monday, October 1. If I make it out of the semi-final round, I’ll let you know.

Well, hello there…..

For me, one of the best parts of traveling is seeing how people go about their everyday lives. The sights are fun and all, but the people watching and life observations are really the fun part for me. I thought I would take this week on TAO to show you daily life  in three very different cities.

Today is this little old blog’s second birthday. Oddly enough to celebrate, I guess, I am at a blogging conference. I’ve been in a sort of interesting place with blogging lately. I’m figuring out how and what I want TAO to be. Still. Either way, I still have a commitment to writing in this space as who I am. My posts will still be too long, perhaps not with the best pictures and full of my dorky history notes.
